In this role, you will be both responsible for day-to-day financial operations and a key strategic partner to the CEO. As the sole finance resource in a growing business, you'll manage all core finance activities with precision while also contributing commercial insight that shapes business direction. You'll design and refine practical, efficient finance processes that strengthen transparency, accountability, and decision-making, working closely with senior functional leaders to ensure the organisation's financial foundations support its long-term growth.
What you'll do
Responsible for the full finance remit, you'll:
* Lead the financial business planning and forecasting process
* Provide finance input and insights to the business owners via key management reports
* Manage inter-company transactions and financial requirements
* Manage all day-to-day finance requirements, including administration, payroll, AP, AR, IAS, BAS, annual return collations, expense management, insurances, tax and statutory payments and management reporting
* Cashflow management, banking, and reconciliation across the group interests in both Australia and the UK
* Manage cost control and interrogate ROI improvement options
* Drive financial and admin process improvements
* Project costing, price modelling / scenario analysis and tender inputs
* Liaise with external financial advisors and accounting firms
About you
You will bring to Intalo Group:
* A Degree in Finance, Accounting or a commercial discipline
* Current CPA / CA registration
* Strong commercial acumen
* Superior intellect and financial insights
* High energy and a strong work ethic
* Professionalism, eye for detail and desire to deliver high quality outcomes
* Excellent communication skills
* Intermediate to advanced Excel skills
* Experience working as part of a team and contributing to overall organisational success ideally in a high growth environment
* Ability to develop long-term working relationships with a broad array of stakeholders
* Experience or an understanding of the UK finance management model would be advantageous
