A valued team member is heading off on maternity leave, creating an opportunity for a capable Procurement & Inventory Controller to step into this contract role and keep essential materials flowing.
Reporting to the Planning & Inventory Manager, responsible for the procurement process from demand planning through ordering, ensuring material costs meet production fit budget. On the inventory side, you are responsible for monitoring, planning and ensuring optimal stock levels.
Engaged and highly visible, you'll work closely with the Manager, Production Planner/S&OP Specialist and across the operation to understand demand and the nuances of the process and customer trends.
Working closely with production, planning, logistics and supply partners, you'll raise orders, monitor inventory levels, plan material needs, and help ensure continuity across a busy manufacturing operation. The work is varied, detail-driven and fast-moving. It demands strong coordination, commercial thinking and the ability to solve problems on the run and stay one step ahead.
Experience in manufacturing procurement and inventory planning is essential, along with solid Excel skills and confidence in ERP systems (SAP ideal).
