Edith Cowan University (ECU) invites applications for an experienced academic nurse leader to join the School of Nursing and Midwifery on the Joondalup Campus in Perth, WA. About the School
The School of Nursing and Midwifery is at the cutting-edge of nurse education and research, delivering innovative education and translational research to improve health and wellbeing locally and globally. The School aims to educate transformational nursing and midwifery leaders through a lens of social justice, equity and inclusion. It hosts the only dual degree of nursing and midwifery and the only Masters of Nurse Practitioner course in WA.
Our researchers collaborate with national and international partners, focusing on thematic areas including: Acute and Chronic Disease Prevention, Management and Survivorship; Safety, Quality and Workforce; Safe, Quality Midwifery Care; and Centre for Research in Aged Care.
About the Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced academic nurse leader with a passion for innovation in learning and teaching and a sustained track record of research to join our energetic, forward-thinking team at ECU Joondalup Campus. The role focuses on innovation in research, teaching and learning and advancing nursing education and practice.
Responsibilities
- Lead and contribute to teaching, learning design, and assessment in undergraduate and/or postgraduate nursing programs.
- Develop and lead research activities aligned with School and University priorities.
- Collaborate with national and international partners and engage with clinical practice settings.
- Mentor and support colleagues and students; contribute to curriculum development and program evaluation.
- Engage in scholarly activities that enhance nursing practice and outcomes.
Qualifications
- Must be registered or eligible for registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia.
- Completed PhD; qualifications in education or demonstrated tertiary/clinical education experience.
- Proven track record of research related activities within higher education or clinical settings.
- Solid professional and academic background in nursing.
