Responsibilities
As a Meat/Seafood Department Assistant, you will assist in the daily operations of the department.
This includes maintaining safety and quality standards while supporting a large team of qualified Butchers.
Deliver superior member service.
Inspects and assemble equipment during department setup.
Work display case and rotate merchandise to high standards.
Process large quantities of product using automatic wrapping machine.
Follow all safety procedures.
Label merchandise and place wrapped and labeled merchandise in display case.
Operate meat grinder and follow proper department production procedures and standards for quality and consistency of finished merchandise.
Clean and sanitize area throughout the day; perform duties to comply with health code.
Follow Sanitation Standard Operating Procedures (SSOP) for proper cleaning and sanitation of all equipment.
Comply with the 11 Commandments of Quality Assurance, Food Safety Certification and all Safety Policies required by the warehouse and department.
Assist in other departments for the warehouse as necessary.
Provide and ensure prompt and courteous service to members, employees and vendors.
Position requirements

Note: This position is a cleaning/wrapping role.
Ability to lift heavy items routinely and ability to work closing shift is essential.
Qualifications
Experience
– Food handling experience preferred.
Knowledge/Skills
– Customer service or comparable.
