Experienced Full-Time Equine Veterinary Nurse

Do you love working with horses and take pride in delivering great veterinary care? Seymour Equine Clinic is searching for an experienced veterinary nurse to join our team and help us to continue developing a clinic that delivers exceptional care and genuine support to our clients.
We are a progressive equine practice with a strong focus on reproduction, alongside lameness and dentistry. We don't have a large hospital caseload — instead, we focus on providing thorough, thoughtful, high-quality care both in clinic and in the field, with strong attention to detail and continuity of care. Our clinic is well equipped with a strong in-house laboratory, supporting timely diagnostics and informed clinical decision-making.
The Role
This position would suit someone with solid clinical nursing skills and a confident, kind and professional approach to horse handling. Calm, positive interactions horsemanship is important to us.
The role also includes client support and workflow coordination, such as:
· Following up cases and updating owners
* Supporting client communication and education
* Assisting with laboratory procedures
* Contributing to organised daily operations
We're looking for someone who understands that excellent veterinary service goes beyond the treatment itself — it's about communication, organisation, and making sure both horses and owners feel supported.
About You
* An experienced veterinary nurse (equine experience preferred), Cert 4 qualified
* Excellent attention to detail and ability to follow current procedures
* Comfortable assisting with laboratory procedures
* Organised, reliable, a strong communicator and team player
* Motivated and solutions-focused
An interest or experience in leadership and contributing to a strong, supportive team culture would be highly valued. We're looking for someone who is a bit of a driver — someone who enjoys improving systems, refining processes and finding better ways to care for horses and support clients. The Position
This is a long term, full time position. Renumeration is above reward, with minimal overtime and no on call requirements.We are very busy from September to January with reproductive work and weekend shifts, on a roster basis, is required during this time. Hours would be 9am to 5pm with flexibility favourable for later starts/later finishes in the breeding season.
