Project Manager / Senior Mechanical Design Engineer – Building Services / MEP – Southampton, Hampshire – Hybrid Working (2 days from home)
Salary: £50k – £60k DOE. Benefits include pension, flexible working hours, and cycle to work schemes.
Responsibilities
* Work as part of a design team delivering detailed design.
* Provide project management and mechanical design expertise.
* Liaise closely with other professionals, including structural engineers, architects, surveyors, and contractors of in‑house and external project teams.
* Attend a range of project group and technical meetings.
* Ensure that the design and maintenance of building systems meets legislative and health‑and‑safety requirements.
* Oversee and supervise the installation of building systems and specify maintenance and operating procedures.
* Use specialist computer‑aided design (CAD) and BIM (Revit) software and other resources to design the systems required for the project.
* Carry out condition surveys and provide recommendation reports to clients.
Qualifications
* Accredited Building Services degree or higher educational qualification (HNC/HND) in mechanical engineering.
* Post‑education experience in Building Services or Mechanical Engineering, including running projects that involve project‑management calculations, drawings, specifications, etc.
* Experience with industry standard software.
