Senior Financial Accountant (Temporary Contract)
Location: North Sydney (Hybrid – minimum 3 days onsite)
Start Date: Ideally 1 February (latest mid‑February)
Duration: Through to end of April (strong potential to convert to permanent)
Hourly rate: $65-85 per hour + super, dependent on experience

With operations across Australia, Singapore, the UK and the USA, the organisation offers exposure to a truly global finance environment. You'll join a lean but highly capable team at a critical time, ensuring continuity while a permanent CFO is recruited.
Your New Role
Core Responsibilities
Deliver the month‑end close within agreed timelines
Manage the General Ledger and ensure accurate, compliant posting of all transactions
Oversee payroll across Australia, Singapore, UK and USA, including review, approval and compliance
Lead tax compliance and filings, working closely with external tax advisors
Manage intercompany transactions and assist with transfer‑pricing updates
Prepare and review monthly balance sheet reconciliations
Produce monthly consolidated group accounts (Syft)
Support ad‑hoc finance projects during the assignment
What You'll Need to Succeed
Technical Requirements
Minimum 3 years' experience in a comparable senior accounting role
CA or CPA qualified
Strong technical accounting background: GL management, journals, accruals, month‑end close & tax reconciliation
Payroll experience essential — UK or US payroll exposure highly preferred
Experience working with multinational entities
Knowledge of tax compliance requirements across AU, SG, UK & US
Xero experience highly desirable; Syft advantageous
Exposure to SaaS/tech environments beneficial

Self‑starter who can operate under pressure and adapt quickly to change
Able to work independently with minimal hand‑holding
Comfortable managing and directing remote offshore staff (2 team members based in the Philippines)
Resilient and proactive in an environment with high board and investor scrutiny
