**About the Role**
This is a permanent, full-time position with a day shift roster (40 hours per week). You will be based at our facility, which is easily accessible from nearby towns.
Please note that accommodation is not provided on site, so this role operates on a daily drive-in, drive-out (DIDO) basis. Ideally, employees should be located within approximately one hour's drive of the nearby town.
As a Maintenance Fitter, you will safely deliver scheduled maintenance and repair work according to operational plans, contributing to equipment reliability and continuous improvement.
Key responsibilities include:
* Carrying out mechanical maintenance on valves, process pipework, pumps, pressurised vessels, tanks, filtration equipment, structural, and hydraulic equipment.
* Working using SAP instructions.
* Reporting and documenting work activities to support asset history.
* Supporting investigations and root cause analysis of faults.
* Identifying opportunities to improve processes and reduce downtime.
**Requirements**
To succeed in this role, you will have experience and demonstrate capability in:
* Applying safe work practices in a heavy industry or refinery environment.
* Following planned maintenance schedules and accurately recording work.
* Communicating effectively across teams and with external partners.
* Contributing to problem-solving and equipment reliability initiatives.
**Qualifications**
You will need an Australian recognized Mechanical Fitter trade certificate, Cert III in Mechanical Engineering (Fitter), demonstrated written and oral English language proficiency, and a C class drivers license.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Accredited training in Working in Confined Spaces & Working at Heights, High Risk Work Licences, including Forklift (LF), Elevated Work Platform (EWP), Basic Rigging (RB).
