Description of the role: We're seeking a Finance Analyst (FP&A) to join our Finance team. In this role, you'll report directly to the CFO and play a key part in shaping our financial strategy, guiding investment decisions, and ensuring compliance in a dynamic business environment.
What makes you 'just right':
* Bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field.
* CA or CPA qualification.
* 2+ years' experience, ideally in a medium to large company.
* Experience in a professional services firm is preferable but not essential.
* Proficient financial analysis and problem-solving skills.
* Strong communication skills to effectively convey financial insights and recommendations to stakeholders (e.g., Senior Partners).
* Proficiency in preparing and presenting financial reports, developing dashboards, and KPIs.
* Willingness to develop financial modelling skills.
* Technically strong with financial software tools such as Excel, Power BI, with a drive to upskill and learn new products.
What your day might look like:
* Conduct financial analysis, modelling, and scenario planning to support strategic decisions, including investment and equity management.
* Prepare budgets, forecasts, and performance reports, highlighting trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.
* Support month-end and year-end processes, ensuring accurate reconciliations and reporting.
* Provide financial insights and recommendations to business leaders, partnering closely with internal stakeholders.
* Contribute to M&A evaluations, investment planning, and risk assessments.
* Mentor junior finance staff and support team development through training and KPI tracking.
* Ensure compliance with financial regulations and industry standards, including ESG and the Modern Slavery Act 2018.
