Religious Education Coordinator (REC) position at Catholic Education, Diocese of Wagga Wagga. Senior leadership role to support the Principal in implementing the school's mission and vision, lead and coordinate learning and teaching in Religious Education, and contribute to Catholic Life, Education and Mission within the Diocese of Wagga Wagga.

What We Can Offer
Temporary Religious Education Coordinator and Permanent Teaching position
Commencing January 2026

Salary determined by NESA Accreditation and Teaching Service + Coordinator 2 Allowance ($19,552 per annum)
Coordinator appointments are 5 years full-time with the potential for a further 5 years subject to ongoing successful performance reviews
Essential Criteria
Postgraduate academic qualifications in addition to initial teacher training
Leadership to promote the mission and vision of Catholic Education
Demonstrated understanding of Catholic Education and participation in sacramental life
Accreditation for Senior Leadership in a Catholic School (or working towards Accreditation)
NESA Accreditation at Proficient Status or beyond
Current Drivers Licence
Current Working With Children Check
National Criminal History Check (to be undertaken if shortlisted)
Three referees, including current employer and Parish Priest
Skills And Experience
Recent school or system leadership experience
Strong communication skills across forums and media
Knowledge of teaching, learning pedagogy, curriculum and practice
Strategic and operational thinking with a cycle of continuous improvement
Strong relational skills
Ability to interpret and analyse data relevant to the role
Experience in budget management and governance-related areas as appropriate
