This role involves working in a dynamic team environment to provide technical support and maintenance for laboratory equipment and materials. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing, preparing, maintaining and organising laboratory equipment and materials for classroom experiments and practicals.
The ideal candidate will possess strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team. They will also have excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to provide clear instructions and guidance to students and colleagues.
Key Responsibilities
* Prepare and supply materials and equipment for science practical classes
* Prepare risk assessments for science practical classes
* Maintain safe handling and storage of hazardous substances
* Organise and maintain laboratories and preparation areas
Selection Criteria
* Demonstrated high level of organisational and time management skills
* Ability to support Catholic ethos and values
* Understanding of Occupational Health and Safety issues and chemical handling
