Position: Civil Maintenance Team Member
Type: Full-time, Permanent
About the Role: As a Civil Maintenance Team Member, you'll be an integral part of a small, multi-skilled team dedicated to maintaining and enhancing the council's roads, footpaths, and drainage infrastructure. This hands-on role involves a variety of tasks, from pothole patching to kerb reconstruction, footpath paving, and road sign installations. You'll work with materials like asphalt, bitumen, and concrete, and operate tools ranging from vibrating plates to truck-mounted cranes.
Key Responsibilities:
* Maintenance of roads, footpaths, and drainage infrastructure.
* Minor civil construction work such as pram ramp installation and footbridge repairs.
* Operating machinery, including concrete cutters, rammers, and skid steer loaders.
* Ensuring high standards of safety and amenity in public spaces.
* Working cooperatively with a diverse team, including apprentices and agency staff.

Qualifications & Experience:
* MR truck licence (essential).
* Experience in civil works or a related field.
