24 month appointment pool. We are establishing an appointment pool for vacancies that arise up to 24 months from the first appointment. Suitable candidates will be placed in the appointment pool from which opportunities may be offered as vacancies arise. Appointments may be made on a full-time, part-time, casual, permanent or fixed-term basis with possible further term and/or permanency. Candidates may also be considered for similar positions within South Metropolitan TAFE as they arise during the life of the pool. If the appointment pool is exhausted prior to the pool expiry date, we reserve the right to supplement the pool through further advertising.

About the role 
The lecturer's primary role is to teach, facilitate learning, assess and mentor students in accordance with relevant curriculum and/or training package requirements. Lecturers also undertake Professional Activities (PA) and Activities Related to Delivery (ARD). 
To maintain quality educational services, lecturers are required to stay updated on developments in their field through professional development to provide up-to-date information and advice to the College and industry, where appropriate. 
Qualifications: Diploma of Hospitality; at least 5 years of vocational or lecturing experience relevant to this position with an ability to facilitate and encourage learning. There is a minimum qualification required to deliver accredited vocational education and training (VET) as defined by the Standards for Registered Training Organisations (RTOs) 2015 (or successors). The current minimum qualification is either: 
Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40122/TAE40116/TAE40110) or 
a secondary teaching qualification with an Assessor Skill Set (TAESS00011/TAESS00019/TAESS00024) 
Applicants who do not yet hold the minimum VET credentials may still apply; the successful candidate must be enrolled and have commenced training in an approved credential and record satisfactory progress to complete within two years from commencement.
