About This Role
As a senior advisor to the Chief Veterinary Officer and Deputy Chief Veterinary Officer, you'll provide expert leadership in aquatic animal biosecurity and welfare. You'll oversee policy development, disease response, and epidemiological analysis—especially within the salmonid aquaculture industry.
* Develop and lead aquatic animal health and welfare policies at state and national levels.
* Manage resources and staff performance within the team.
* Analyse epidemiological data and provide expert advice on disease management.
* Liaise with industry stakeholders, veterinarians, government branches, and community groups.
* Mentor junior staff and contribute to strategic planning and program delivery.
