Salvos Stores is seeking to employ a Full-Time Warehouse Storeperson to work at our warehouse/distribution center for our operations in Wagga Wagga, NSW.
ABOUT THE ROLE
As a Warehouse Storeperson, you will be responsible for:
* Ensuring donated goods are effectively and accurately stored for store use in a timely manner - This includes determining if such goods appear to be of sufficient quality to be re-sold in our stores.
* Pick and prepare store orders efficiently and correctly using the correct paperwork, systems and operating procedures.
* Other duties may include baling clothing, loading or unloading stock from trucks, maintaining cleanliness of the work area and disposal of unusable items.
* Meeting occupational health and safety obligations.
* Occasionally required to move trucks in and out of the warehouse
ABOUT YOU
As our ideal candidate, you will meet the following essential criteria:
* Ability to work in a team environment.
* Ability to work unsupervised.
* Ability to work under supervision and to work in accordance with a schedule.
* Demonstrated understanding of the principles of customer service.
* MR Licence (desirable )
* Relevant licence to operate a counterbalance forklift (essential )
* Demonstrated warehousing and stock control experience ideally in a warehouse environment (desirable )
* Demonstrated proficiency with computers is required.
