In this minimum 6-month term, based in Melbourne you will be responsible for assessing and treating presentations to the emergency department under supervision from senior doctors. You will be part of the Emergency Department team and report to the Clinical Director, the Directors of EM training and the medical team leader on shift. You will make an impact by independently assessing and managing multiple patients under supervision of seniors, independently prioritising a set of decisions/tasks/referrals for multiple patients. Required: clear and accurate communication with patients and colleagues; ability to lead by being a positive role model to junior staff; ability to direct immediate and future learning through reflective practice; self-directed learning and departmental teaching to further clinical knowledge and skills.

This position is suitable for trainees looking to complete core and elective ED time, with flexible contracts from 6 months to 2 years. Rotations offered other than emergency include ultrasound and other specialties.
