Mackay Discount Drug Store is seeking a talented and enthusiastic Junior Pharmacy Assistant to join our friendly and dedicated team. You will play a key role in providing exceptional customer service and supporting our experienced team in delivering high-quality healthcare to the local community. This is a wonderful opportunity for a school student or school leaver interested in starting their career in pharmacy.
Hours: Rotational weekdays 3:30 pm to 6:00 pm and rotational weekends from 9am until 1pm.
What you will be doing
You will work in the front section of the pharmacy, providing excellent service and helping customers with their health needs. You will also assist the stock control team with replenishment, general maintenance and tidying.
Key duties
* Customer service, including serving customers and processing sales through the register
* Stock replenishment, ticketing and date checking
* Housekeeping and cleaning and end of day close
* General maintenance and keeping the shop neat and welcoming

* A friendly, enthusiastic junior with a willingness to learn new skills
* Strong communication and customer service skills
* Attention to detail and the ability to work accurately, including basic numerical tasks
* A genuine interest in the healthcare industry
* The ability to work as part of a team and follow instructions
