The role would involve the assessment and management of children and young people with complex neurological conditions. The clinician appointed to the role would be well supported by a collegiate and experienced team.
- Successful applicants who have completed the Masters degree or Masters degree requirements and are awaiting full registration from the Psychology Board of Australia will be paid at Year 2 of the Psychologist Scale until they have full registration with the Psychology Board of Australia, at which point they will commence on Year 1 of the Clinical Psychologist scale.
**_What You'll Be Doing_**
Neuropsychological services include formal cognitive assessment, provision of psycho-education to the children, families and schools, feedback to clinical team members and preparation of a report that summarises all key information obtained from the assessment process. The Clinical Neuropsychologist works closely with various multi-disciplinary teams, primarily Neurology, Neurosurgery and Neuro-Oncology. The Clinical Neuropsychologist will participate in peer supervision. The Clinical Neuropsychologist is also a member of the Psychology department and will participate in departmental activities and meetings.
- Full registration with the Psychology Board of Australia and full endorsement with the Psychology Board of Australia in the area of Clinical Neuropsychology or eligible to progress to same.
- Minimum 2 year full time equivalent accredited post-graduate Masters or Doctorate Degree in Clinical Neuropsychology
- Experience in the neuropsychological assessment and management of children with a history of acquired brain injury, developmental disorder and/or neurological conditions.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and effectively within a multi-disciplinary team environment
- Excellent oral and written communication and organisational skills.
