About the Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced Construction Manager / Senior Superintendent to lead the delivery of complex utilities, water infrastructure, and SMP construction projects across metropolitan and regional South Australia. This role suits a hands-on leader who thrives in fast-paced environments, can coordinate multi‐discipline teams, and ensures safe, high‐quality project execution.

Key Responsibilities
* Lead and manage multi‐discipline construction teams across civil, SMP, mechanical, and utilities scopes
* Oversee construction planning, scheduling, methodologies, and daily execution
* Coordinate subcontractors, drilling crews, micro tunnelling teams, surveyors, and traffic management partners
* Conduct Safety in Design reviews and ensure compliance with HSEQ systems
* Manage stakeholder engagement including councils, DIT, clients, and the general public
* Review project schedules, risk assessments, work instructions, and construction methodologies
* Drive project performance, cost control, earned value, and reporting
* Ensure commissioning, handover, and quality documentation is delivered to standard
* Lead prestarts, toolbox talks, inspections, and incident management processes
* Support continuous improvement, team capability, and operational excellence
About You
You will be a confident, solutions‐focused leader with strong technical capability and the ability to manage complex construction environments. You bring a calm, level‐headed approach and are known for setting clear expectations, supporting your team, and delivering high‐quality outcomes.
You will bring:
* Experience as a Construction Manager, Superintendent, or Senior Supervisor
* Strong background in water infrastructure, utilities, SMP, mining, or heavy industrial projects
* Proven ability to coordinate multi‐discipline crews and subcontractors
* Strong understanding of HSEQ systems, risk management, and compliance
* Ability to interpret P&IDs, engineering drawings, and technical specifications
* Experience with SAP, Maximo, Success Factors, Navisworks, SCADA, MS Suite
* Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement, and leadership skills
* Trade qualifications or engineering-related certifications (SMP, fabrication, mechanical, etc.)
* Additional certificates such as Working at Heights, Confined Spaces, First Aid, HRW licences (WP) are highly regarded
