Position Overview
As a Cloud Engineer II, you will build, operate, and support foundational AWS infrastructure, ensuring secure, compliant, and resilient environments.
This hands-on role focuses on day-to-day delivery, operational excellence, monitoring, and incident response across our cloud platforms.
Key Responsibilities
Impact the reliability, performance, and compliance of our infrastructure delivered, collaborate with peers across Infrastructure, Operations, Security, Product Engineering, and Enterprise Architecture.
Qualifications
4+ years' experience in cloud engineering (AWS essential), supporting enterprise-scale multi-account landing zones
Completed one of the following qualifications:
AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate
AWS Certified CloudOps Administrator – Associate
Hands-on experience building and supporting AWS environments in production
Windows & Linux administration skills
Proficiency with scripting languages (PowerShell or Python)
Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform, CloudFormation, YAML)
Experience with CI/CD tooling (Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, Octopus Deploy)
Familiarity with observability tools (CloudWatch, Datadog, Splunk, VPC Flow Logs)
Experience with containerisation (Docker, ECS, EKS, Kubernetes)
Exposure to serverless architectures (AWS Lambda, Step Functions, CloudFront)
Solid understanding of cloud networking and security fundamentals (VPCs, routing, load balancers, security groups, firewalls, WAF)
Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
Desirable
Familiarity with M365 & Azure
AWS technologies such as GuardDuty, ControlTower, IAM, VPC Lattice
Exposure to networking products from Palo Alto & Imperva
Understanding of cloud cost optimisation and FinOps practices
Awareness of compliance standards (ISO *****, CPS230, PCI-DSS)
Interest in emerging technologies such as hybrid cloud, edge computing or AI/ML
Experience with n8n Workflow Automation
