About the role
Are you a senior reporter with a passion for news and a desire to tell compelling stories? Allied Media is seeking a capable and confident senior reporter to join our Ashburton team. This is a part-time position based in Ashburton, where you will write articles and capture photos and videos for our weekly publication The Ashburton Courier or our online platform at odt.co.nz
You should be an experienced reporter with a strong interest in news and storytelling across both online and print platforms. You should be enthusiastic about breaking news, covering community events, and able to work efficiently and calmly under pressure to deliver engaging and timely content.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate
Strong journalism skills, including photography and videography capabilities.
The ability to build connections within the community and engage with a diverse range of individuals.
A genuine passion for sharing the stories of the community.
A commitment to fostering a positive, safe, and inclusive workplace.
