About this Opportunity
The role requires a commercially astute and outcomes-focused approach to stakeholder engagement, negotiations, and contract management, ensuring that the City achieves transparent, equitable and financially beneficial outcomes. Collaboration with internal teams, external partners, government agencies, and industry will be critical to successfully delivering these objectives.
The Commercial Manager is also expected to demonstrate strong project management capabilities and contribute best-practice insights to support continuous improvement within the team.
Selection Criteria
A tertiary qualification in commerce or property (valuation, economics, development etc), project management or a related field (desirable)
Minimum of 3 years experience in positions demonstrating that similar objectives have been successfully achieved.
Experience with applying effective project management principles and practices (including the preparation of strategies, financial, time, and quality reporting and triple bottom line reports) as they relate to property or other commercial driven projects.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team to provide professional service in a collaborative manner.
Advanced communication and negotiation skills and ability to facilitate successful outcomes with various customers and stakeholders.
Hours of Work
This is a 9 month fixed term contract with the possibility of an extension, working Monday to Friday 75 hours per fortnight. You'll enjoy flexible work arrangements or an option for a fortnightly or monthly rostered day off. Alternative working hours may be considered for the right applicant.
About the Benefits
This position offers a salary of $80-$100 per hour, dependent on qualifications and experience, plus super.
