With a commitment to quality, innovation, and customer satisfaction, we support a broad range of clients across construction, infrastructure, and mining industries.To support our business expansion in Australia, we are seeking 2-3 dynamic and results-driven Business Development Managers based in Melbourne to lead sales and market development.Available PositionsBusiness Development Manager – Drilling, Piling Rigs & Mobile CranesBusiness Development Manager – Material Handling & Recycling Equipment (Forklift Equipment / Electric Prime Movers / Material Handlers / Reach Stackers / Wheel Loaders / Forklifts), targeting the warehousing, logistics and recycling industries.Key ResponsibilitiesBusiness Growth: Proactively identify, develop, and convert new business opportunities for SANY drilling rigs, piling rigs, and mobile cranes across key industry sectors in Australia.End-to-End Sales Management: Manage the full sales and hire cycle — from lead generation and client engagement through to proposal preparation, tender submission, negotiation, and deal closure.Client Relationship Management: Build and nurture long-term relationships with new and existing customers by understanding their project needs and providing tailored equipment solutions that add value.Market Intelligence: Stay informed on industry developments, competitor offerings, and market conditions to strategically position Ten-League's value proposition and identify growth opportunities.Collaboration & Execution: Work closely with internal teams and OEM partners to ensure the timely delivery, commissioning, and aftersales support of equipment post-sale or hire.Performance Tracking: Maintain accurate and up-to-date sales pipelines, forecasts, and activity reports for review with the National Sales Manager.Strategic Contribution: Provide insights and recommendations to management on market trends, pricing strategies, and customer feedback to strengthen the company's market presence and competitive edge.Qualifications & ExperienceMinimum 5 years' experience in business development or sales within the construction or heavy equipment industry (drilling/piling rigs, forklifts, recycling equipment, etc.)Strong understanding of the sales and hire process for capital equipment, including tenders and proposals.Solid technical knowledge of equipment applications in civil and infrastructure projects.Proven ability to achieve sales targets, develop new markets, and build strong client relationships.Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.Self-motivated and results-driven, with strong CRM and reporting capabilities.Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or related field.Valid driver's licence and willingness to travel.Existing industry network in construction or equipment rental is an advantage.Seniority levelMid-Senior levelEmployment typeFull-timeJob functionBusiness Development and SalesIndustriesAgriculture, Construction, Mining Machinery Manufacturing
