The Practices specialize in chronic disease management and prevention, however can assist in a wide variety of cases (e.g. bariatric nutrition, disability nutrition, sports performance, aged care consultation, insurance work, public speaking, group education classes, etc). The mission is to promote healthy lifestyles in the Australian population and to prevent and manage chronic disease through physical activity and nutrition.
**Position Description**:
An exciting opportunity exists for a motivated and enthusiastic Accredited Dietitian (DAA) to become a part of a proactive company and work collaboratively with the other Dietitians, Exercise Physiologist, and Diabetes Educator along with other allied health and medical staff.
You will be working across medical centers, and allied health facilities within the **_Ipswich/Scenic Rim/Somerset and Lockyer Valley areas_**. The successful applicant will be working on a full-time basis (5 days per week, with Saturday work included), stepping into an existing patient load and will be servicing medical centres and allied health facilities which have an established referral base.
**_Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:_**
- Provide evidence-based nutrition advice and treatment in the areas of chronic disease prevention and management.
- Measure and assess the patients' diet history along with interpreting biochemistry and anthropometric data.
- Public speaking
- to present informative talks about a range of health topics on nutrition/health where required.
- Travel to the required service delivery location and provide exemplary service to your clients. Drivers License and own car is required.
**Qualifications & Experience**:
- Accredited (Provisional or Full) Dietitian through the Dietitians Associated of Australia (ESSENTIAL)
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build and maintain rapport.
