We are on a growth journey – now looking for our next star – a passionate Events Manager.

About the position

The core responsibility of the Events Manager is event coordination and planning. The successful candidate will work to engage all Dometic divisions and acquired brands on a calendar of events, aligned with global brand strategy and ANZ segment marketing plan, with the key aim of driving awareness for the Dometic brand.

Your main responsibilities

The Events Manager ANZ is the key owner of the ANZ Activation Strategy and is responsible for the planning and execution of all Dometic brand activations, events and experiences within the Australian and New Zealand active region.

The Events Manager is responsible for driving new event sponsorship opportunities for Dometic, as well as managing existing partnership activations as required.

The Events Manager’s time is split between strategic planning and event production, the successful candidate must be willing to take a hands-on approach to work. They must be confident working on event sites, managing logistics and suppliers such as event builders, AV teams and talent where required.

A background in event production within an agency environment would be valuable.

Events look like: Four-wheel driving shows, caravan shows, festivals, film premieres, trade shows, open days, product sales, and retail activations.

A suitable background would be a solid experience within consumer events and B2B trade events – as well as the following qualifications and experience:

A minimum of 3-5 years working in an Events Manager or Activations Manager role or similar

Ability to plan well in advance, communicate plans and commit to timelines

High level understanding of events, event management, communication, and relevant project management software systems

Passion for the outdoors lifestyle and activities, action sports or similar

Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong partnerships and relationships with key stakeholders – both internal and external

To be successful in this role, we believe that you possess the following skills, competencies & characteristics:

Ability to research and develop innovative event or display solutions for a wide range of mediums, brand stands, point of sale, instore displays and custom branding

Ability to work well under pressure to meet deadlines

Meticulous attention to detail

Excellent communication, written and verbal skills
