About the Role
As Head Veterinary Nurse, you will play a pivotal role in both the clinical and operational success of the hospital. This is a hands-on leadership position ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys mentoring and developing others.
Key responsibilities include:
* Leading, mentoring, and supporting the nursing team
* Coordinating daily workflow and ensuring efficient hospital operations
* Maintaining high standards of patient care and clinical protocols
* Assisting in surgery, anaesthesia monitoring, and hospital case management
* Supporting stock control, equipment maintenance, and WHS compliance
* Assisting with nurse training and professional development
About You
We're looking for someone who:
* Cert IV Vet Nurse or equivalent and 3+ years Vet Nurse experience
* Demonstrates strong leadership and team management skills
* Is confident working across surgical, medical, and hospital cases
* Has excellent communication and organisational abilities
* Is proactive, solution-focused, and passionate about patient care
* Is eager to continue learning and growing professionally
* Previous leadership experience is highly regarded, but we also welcome experienced nurses ready to step up into their first leadership role.
