Are you passionate about supporting families and creating safer, stronger communities? CAAPS is seeking a dedicated Family Support Worker to provide intensive, culturally affirming support to families with children aged 0–18 years. This is a unique opportunity to work in partnership with families referred by the Department of Territory Families, Housing and Communities (DTFHC), helping them build nurturing environments and maintain family unity.

Key Responsibilities:
Deliver practical in-home support and child-centered, family-led casework
Facilitate group activities and establish referral pathways
Build strong relationships with stakeholders and expand service networks
Maintain accurate client records and meet reporting requirements
Participate in regular clinical supervision and reflective practice
Key Outcomes:
* Families meet safety goals through culturally affirming approaches
* Parents are empowered to influence positive outcomes for their children
* Improved family functioning and child wellbeing
About You:
* You'll bring a mix of professional experience, cultural understanding, and a deep commitment to family wellbeing. You have:
* Qualifications in Community Services, Social Work, or a related field (or working toward them)
* Experience supporting high-risk families using trauma-informed, culturally safe approaches
* Knowledge of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures and community networks
* Willingness to conduct home visits and provide hands-on support
* Strong communication, teamwork, and ICT skills
* Commitment to child safety, WHS, and continuous improvement
