Your opportunity
The multicultural mental health coordinator program is a state-wide program that is closely integrated with the Queensland Transcultural Mental Health Centre. Multicultural Mental Health Coordinators are employed by local mental health services and respond to the needs of consumers from diverse cultural backgrounds at a local level.
This opportunity involves the facilitation of culturally responsive mental health care to clients and their families from culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) backgrounds by developing strategies to build the capacity of the Mackay Hospital and Health Service (MHHS).

Staff work collaboratively with each other and with consumers, their families/carers and external service providers.
