Finance Manager Job Description

The Finance Manager plays a pivotal role in overseeing the day-to-day operations of our finance team. This includes managing financial reporting, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations, planning and analysis to drive business growth.

Key responsibilities include leading and managing the finance team, overseeing financial close processes, preparing cash flow forecasts, and assisting with taxation and compliance lodgements.

We are seeking an experienced and skilled professional who can provide expert guidance on financial matters, leverage their knowledge to inform business decisions, and contribute to the development of our ecosystem services projects.

This is a dynamic and challenging opportunity for a motivated and talented individual to join our team as we continue to grow and expand our impact.

* Lead and manage the finance team: Ensure effective team management, motivate staff to achieve goals, and foster a collaborative work environment.
* Oversee financial close processes: Manage the preparation and submission of financial reports, ensure accuracy and timeliness, and maintain regulatory compliance.
* Prepare cash flow forecasts: Develop and present cash flow projections to inform business decisions, mitigate risks, and optimize resource allocation.
* Assist with taxation and compliance lodgements: Provide expertise on tax-related matters, ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations, and facilitate efficient lodgement processes.


Requirements

* Commercial awareness: Possess a strong understanding of commercial principles, including market trends, industry developments, and competitor analysis.
* Communication skills: Effectively communicate complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders, including Board members, senior executives, and external parties.
* IFRS and Corporations Act experience: Proven knowledge and application of IFRS and Corporations Act principles, including financial reporting, auditing, and governance.
