We're hiring a Business Development Manager (C&I Solar + Battery) for an EPC-focused growth role targeting commercial and industrial projects up to 5MW. This is a Sydney-based position (with flexibility depending on client coverage), suited to a commercially sharp operator who understands how to originate opportunities, navigate technical conversations, and convert projects into executable EPC work.
This is not a "spray and pray" sales role. We're looking for someone who can build a credible pipeline, qualify properly, and progress opportunities with a clear view of feasibility, timelines and delivery reality.
You'll be representing a serious delivery-led business in a market where buyers are becoming more sophisticated. The value proposition is not noise—it's practical project outcomes, risk-managed delivery, and commercially grounded solutions. If you enjoy selling projects that actually get built, this is the lane.
What you'll do
* Generate and convert C&I opportunities across solar PV + battery projects (up to 5MW), with an EPC-first lens.
* Build relationships with key stakeholders including asset owners, facilities teams, property groups, operations leaders and project decision-makers.
* Lead discovery conversations that surface load profile drivers, site constraints, capex appetite, timelines and approval pathways.
* Work closely with internal technical and delivery teams to shape proposals that are commercially strong and realistically deliverable.
* Own pipeline management, deal progression, forecasting and CRM hygiene with consistency.
* Negotiate and close contracts while maintaining margin discipline and long-term client trust.
* Track market activity and identify where EPC demand is strongest by sector, geography and buyer type.
What we're looking for
* Proven B2B business development experience in C&I solar, storage, electrical infrastructure, energy services, or adjacent project-based technical sales.
* Confidence selling into longer-cycle deals with multiple stakeholders.
* Strong commercial judgement and the ability to connect technical scope with business value.
* Comfortable collaborating with engineers, estimators and project delivery teams.
* High standards in communication, follow-through and client management.
