PRIMARY OBJECTIVE
Responsible for leading a team of professionals for the development of 10-year Asset Investment Plan for power network and generation projects
and programs, including the oversight of design, options analysis, budget estimation and project readiness documentation, ensuring projects and
programs are delivery ready and achieve the outcomes defined.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES - The “WHAT” to be delivered
Functional
• Lead the planning and development of programs of work and/or projects across Power and Water’s 10-year cycle of capital investments.
* Lead the development of Power Services Asset Investment Plan (AIP) annually and obtain buy-in from all stakeholders.
* Lead the activities of the Investment Development team to maintain a high performing and motivated team.
* Preparation and implementation of project management plans including time plans, cost plans, human resource and communications plans for
Power Services ten-year capital program.
* Implementation of procurement processes including tendering, initiating and administering contracts.
* Management of AIP budget, forecasting and governance including inputs to SCI ensuring alignment with relevant frameworks, objectives and
risk appetite, with particular focus on the NT National Electricity Rules and Australian Energy Regulator frameworks for investment funding.
* Provide high level portfolio reporting to senior executive and the board.
* Liaise and plan with stakeholders for the development of conceptual and detailed designs.
* Review briefs, engage and manage consultants for the investigation, survey, design and documentation of projects or programs.
* Ensure quality and accuracy of developed investment specifications and documents.
* Ensures tenders and contracts are in accordance with Power and Water’s procurement rules and achieve best value for Power Services.
* Liaise with Project Delivery Management (PDM) for handover of delivery ready projects or programs and once delivered coordinate handover
and closure of the projects or programs.

strategies.
* Co-ordinate investigations and reporting of incidents as an ICAM Lead Investigator.
* Seek to reduce the environmental impact of the organisation through compliance with legislative, regulatory and licence requirements.
Investment Development
• Effectively undertake investigations, develop concept and detailed designs, specifications and justifications for capital and operational Business
Cases in accordance with the strategic needs of Power Services.
* Prepare and detail scopes, budgets, benefits, cash flows and resource requirements as necessary for PDM to successfully deliver allocated
projects or programs.
