The role of Kitchen Assistant/Cook at Bracken House Hostel presents a fantastic opportunity for an individual to make a positive impact on the lives of facility residents by providing exceptional culinary services.
We are seeking someone with experience in planning, preparation, and cooking fresh meals, as well as table service and clearing duties. The ideal candidate will be a team player who is highly motivated and available to work various shifts across different days.
* Experienced in planning, preparation and cooking fresh meals
* Experience in table service and clearing duties
* Experience in working in a fast-paced kitchen and/or bulk food preparation – desirable
* Knowledge and experience in working to compliance of Food Safety Standards to HACCP level
* Experience in Aged Care – desirable
Key Responsibilities:
• Plan, prepare, and cook fresh meals for residents
• Maintain high standards of quality and safety in food preparation and presentation
• Provide excellent customer service and maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment
What You Need To Succeed:
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Basic computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office
