Chef Job Description
We are looking for skilled and passionate Chefs to join our team. If you thrive in a fast-paced kitchen environment and have a commitment to culinary excellence, we would like to hear from you.
Key Responsibilities:
* Inspecting food items to maintain quality standards
* Monitoring and adjusting temperatures of ovens, grills, and other cooking appliances
* Preparing and cooking various dishes
* Seasoning food during the cooking process
* Portioning meals, plating dishes, and adding sauces, gravies, and garnishes
* Storing food in temperature-controlled environments
* Preparing meals tailored to specific dietary needs
* May plan menus and estimate ingredient requirements
* May supervise and train kitchen staff and apprentices.
Requirements:
* Australian Citizens and Permanent Residents encouraged to apply
* AQF Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or equivalent qualifications including at least two to three years of on-the-job training, or AQF Certificate IV
* Minimum of 1 - 2 years of demonstrated experience in a Cook, ideally within a comparable restaurant
* Ability to work well in a team under pressure
