About the role

A fantastic opportunity exists to join Cerebral Palsy Alliance (CPA) as the Team Leader of the Dubbo Therapy Team. The Dubbo therapy team is made up of 9 local therapists (occupational therapists, physiotherapists and speech pathologists) and is supported by a Client Services Consultant, local Team Leader and Therapy Manager. The position is currently full time, with half of your week spent leading the team and the other half managing a caseload as a senior therapist.

At CPA we aim to be as flexible as possible to suit your lifestyle, and you will be supported by the Dubbo Therapy Manager and a network of therapy leaders across CPA. You will also have access to various modes of leadership training, including online courses and face‐to‐face sessions facilitated by Regional Managers and external subject matter experts.

Responsibilities

* Lead the Dubbo therapy team half of the week with support from the site's Therapy Manager, and the other half manage a caseload as a senior therapist.
* Coordinate clinical services for the multidisciplinary team of occupational therapists, physiotherapists and speech pathologists.
* Participate in strategic planning, training, and leadership development with the CPA Therapy Leadership team.

Required Skills

* Strong communication skills: conveying expectations, providing feedback, facilitating team discussions, communicating risks and barriers to the Regional Manager, and engaging with stakeholders and clients.
* Leading through guidance, motivation and support.
* Ability to translate strategic priorities of the organisation into meaningful actions for your team.
* Problem‐solving: troubleshooting challenges, performing logistical gymnastics and making informed decisions in collaboration with stakeholders.
* Data‐driven decision‐making.
* Proficient user of IT.
* Commitment to supporting team members to navigate daily challenges as well as their longer‐term professional development.
* Understanding of the complex needs of our clients.

Benefits

* Exceptional professional development opportunities through CPA's leadership academy and a suite of online courses run by MCI.
* Relocation allowance for interstate or rural moves of $5,000.
* Up to $2,650/year tax‐savings through meal, entertainment and venue hire benefit.
* Wellbeing allowance of $100 per year.
* Discounted gym/fitness centre membership for you and your family.
* Multiple career pathways including Research, Clinical Governance, Specialisation and Management opportunities.
* Additional leave days, including bonus leave, pre‐purchased leave, compassionate leave and CPA Day – an additional public holiday between Boxing Day and New Year's Day.

At Cerebral Palsy Alliance we champion diversity and equitable opportunities for people with disabilities, lived experience, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds and the LGBTQIA+ community.
