Work Type: Permanent / Full-Time
Salary: $140,000 – $200,000 + Super + Commission (Salary negotiable based on experience)
Vectura Recruitment is seeking an experienced and strategic Senior Business Development Manager to join a well-established international freight forwarding business. This role is ideal for a results-driven professional with deep industry networks and a strong track record in international logistics sales, particularly across air and sea freight forwarding.
This position offers an exciting opportunity to take ownership of high-value commercial relationships and contribute directly to the long-term growth of the business.
Key Responsibilities
Proactively source, qualify, and convert new business opportunities across key industry verticals
Develop and manage a strong pipeline of prospective clients using CRM tools and data insights
Create tailored solutions for clients across air and ocean freight, collaborating with internal operations teams
Lead client proposal development including quoting, pricing strategies, and contract negotiations
Drive strategic sales plans aligned with business objectives and GP targets
Identify cross-sell and upsell opportunities to deepen client relationships and expand service uptake
Skills & Experience
Ideally 5 years of proven success in B2B international freight forwarding sales, ideally across both air and sea
Strong commercial acumen with experience managing large account relationships
Demonstrated ability to build, manage, and convert a pipeline of high-value opportunities
Exceptional communication and stakeholder engagement skills across all levels
Sound understanding of international trade, Incoterms, and customs brokerage processes
Proficient with CRM platforms and sales reporting tools
