We are in search of an experienced Payroll & Administration Coordinator to join the people focused team in Finance. You will be the go-to payroll contact for the broader Merriwa team, managing weekly and fortnightly payroll functions for more than 240 employees. The role of Payroll & Administration Coordinator plays an important part in supporting our Team to be successful in a safe work environment.

The Opportunity:

As the Payroll & Administration Coordinator, you will be instrumental in creating a dynamic work environment that ensures the seamless delivery of payroll and administrative services within the Finance Division. Your primary responsibility will be the efficient and timely processing of payroll for Merriwa employees. Additionally, you'll play a vital role in supporting various administrative tasks and assisting Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable data input on an as-needed basis. Your proactive engagement with employees will provide them with valuable payroll-related guidance, while your collaboration with the HR Team and managers across Merriwa will foster a unified approach to our organisational goals.

About You:

You will have a minimum of 5 years experience in a payroll position, and bring great knowledge and understanding of Modern Awards. If you have experience working with the SCHADS Award that is highly regarded. You are a real wiz at knowing financial and compliance requirements within payroll, and know the importance of dependent workflows between Payroll and HR. We have recently implemented Employment Hero/Usage Pay across Merriwa, so if you have experience using these systems, this too will be highly regarded.

You will have experience with accounting systems including journal entries and the processing of accounts receivable and accounts payable. Checks and controls in the payroll process is required and at a high level, along with an understanding of superannuation and mandatory payments.

Your communication style is open and engaging, which will allow you to build strong, trusting relationships with a range of stakeholders. You work well within a team, while also demonstrating sound judgment when needed.

The successful candidate will be required to undergo mandatory checks as required including; NDIS Worker Screener Check.
