About the Role:
Our Stapylton workshop has openings for qualified Diesel Fitter's to join our Components Rebuild team.
Our purpose-built Stapylton Component Rebuild Centre offers the opportunity to carry out comprehensive overhauls of major components, including engines, gearboxes, and differentials. You will get a varied and challenging workload on large earthmoving and mining machinery.
Ideal for candidates that have prior component rebuild experience and those who have dipped their toes in it.
Your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
* Rebuild and refurbish components and engines in accordance with OEM specifications.
* Conduct thorough inspections to evaluate component condition and determine reusability.
* Maintain strict quality control standards whilst promoting continuous improvement initiatives.
* Collaborate effectively with other team members while working independently to achieve operational objectives.
* Adhere to safety protocols and ensuring all work is carried out in compliance with industry regulations.
To be successful, you will demonstrate:
* Certificate III in Mobile Plant Technology or Engineering (Mechanical) or equivalent.
* Previous experience in component rebuilds or a strong desire to learn.
* Experience working on CAT equipment and familiarity with CAT diagnostic systems (highly desirable)
* Ability to carry out performance testing and adjustments after repairs.
* A "can do" attitude with the ability to work well in a team environment.
* Excellent time management skills and a strong commitment to quality control.
* Ability to work autonomously and unsupervised as required.
* Current & valid Driver's Licence.
* Ability to pass a pre-employment medical and drug and alcohol screening.
