As a Quality Officer, you will play a key role in identifying trends and insights to drive performance improvements across the agency. Working within a supportive team environment, you will contribute to the objective of building a world-leading service through technical excellence and independent decision-making.
About your next role
In this role, you will undertake moderately complex to complex work under limited supervision to ensure legislative and process compliance. Your responsibilities will include:
Managing a range of quality reviews and conducting quality assurance activities regarding planning processes and decision-making.
Providing professional and technical commentary on review findings to improve future planning practices.
Providing clear and concise written assessments based on objective evidence recorded in business systems.
Identifying best practice approaches through both qualitative and quantitative reviews.
Assisting in the development and implementation of improvement strategies to meet strategic objectives.
Supporting and mentoring team members to enhance the team's overall technical skills and knowledge.
Managing workflow requests via JIRA triage queries and adhering to privacy and data policies.
What you will need to bring
We are looking for an analytical professional who can translate technical jargon into clear, accessible communication. To be successful, you will need:
The ability to assess complex issues, draw logical conclusions, and apply reflective thinking to decision-making.
An in-depth understanding of relevant legislation, policy frameworks, and \"Reasonable and Necessary\" decision-making practices.
Strong written skills for accurate data recording and the ability to provide clear reasons for assessments.
The capacity to manage competing priorities and remain effective through shifting responsibilities.
Ability to use Microsoft Office (specifically Excel) and Government business systems such as PACE and CRM.
Mandatory Requirements
Australian Citizen
Relevant tertiary qualifications in Social Services, Government Administration, or Quality Assurance, and/or equivalent professional experience.
Ability to meet Federal Government eligibility requirements.
Ability to obtain and maintain National Police check and NDIS Screening Check
