Chief Executive Officer (CEO) – QDVSN Ltd – Fully remote, Queensland based
Formed in December 2025, QDVSN Ltd is Queensland's newly established peak body for domestic and family violence organisations. QDVSN exists to strengthen, connect and represent the entire DFV service system, while holding the safety, dignity and rights of victim survivors at the centre of all advocacy and action.
Working from an intersectional feminist framework, QDVSN applies a specialist lens across prevention, early intervention, response and recovery, recognising that a strong, capable and unified sector is fundamental to achieving systemic change and improving outcomes for victim survivors.
Reporting to the Board, this is a rare opportunity to become the inaugural Chief Executive Officer and shape the future of a new organisation at a time when domestic and family violence reform is a clear Government priority. The successful candidate will establish QDVSN as the authoritative voice of the sector in Queensland, laying strong foundations for governance, sustainability, culture and impact.
You will lead the organisation from inception, embedding the systems, processes and structures required to deliver on its strategic intent, while ensuring effective governance, compliance and financial stewardship. The role demands a sophisticated understanding of government, policy reform and stakeholder engagement, together with the capacity to influence legislative, program and institutional change in pursuit of safety, justice and equity for victim survivors.
As the peak body, QDVSN will play a pivotal role in strengthening sector capability, fostering meaningful member engagement and aligning diverse voices around shared priorities. The CEO will serve as principal spokesperson and advocate, building trusted relationships across government and community and representing the sector with authority and integrity.
We seek a values-driven and courageous executive leader with significant senior experience, ideally within community services, human services, public policy or the not-for-profit sector. You will bring proven capability in organisational development, governance and financial stewardship, alongside exceptional communication skills and the credibility to unite diverse stakeholders. Cultural humility, resilience and comfort in a start-up environment are essential.
This is more than a leadership appointment; it is an opportunity to build an institution that will shape the future of domestic and family violence reform in Queensland. The Board seeks a leader who combines strategic clarity with warmth and authenticity, and who can navigate complexity with integrity while inspiring others around a compelling vision for change.
