Key Responsibilities
* Coordinate and implement the respiratory protection program across the health district
* Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including healthcare providers, infection control professionals, and other relevant parties
* Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to improve patient outcomes and develop new policies and procedures
* Conduct regular risk assessments and provide guidance on appropriate respiratory protection strategies
* Provide education and training to healthcare providers and staff on respiratory protection practices and procedures
* Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of the respiratory protection program and make recommendations for improvement
Required Skills and Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need:
* A current registration as a Registered Nurse with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
* Relevant postgraduate qualifications in the specialty of staff health (Australian Nurse Immuniser Credentialed) or willingness to work towards
* Experience in public health, infection control, or a related field
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a high-performing team
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
* Current drivers' license and willingness to travel throughout the health district
