We currently have an opportunity for a Senior Management Accountant in Adelaide. Join our Health and Education team and help play a key role in delivering accurate financial reporting analysis and accounting services while driving efficiency accountability and process improvement. Reporting to the Finance Team Manager - Education you'll help deliver high‑quality outcomes that support our essential services.
What You'll Do
* Support the Accounting Services team in a high-performance culture environment ensuring adherence to deadlines and Accounting Standards compliance
* Actively contribute to an accurate and timely end-of-month reporting including reconciliations accruals and variance analysis
* Proactively communicate with key stakeholders providing clear and timely updates on financial performance risks and required actions.
* Ensure financial obligations and reports are submitted ahead of deadlines mitigating risks of noncompliance
* Assist with both external and internal audits by providing necessary documentation and insights
What You'll Bring
* Bachelors degree in Accounting / Finance or a related field (required).
* Mandatory CPA or CA with postgraduate degrees (i.e. MBA Masters in Corporate Finance etc.).
* Proven experience in financial management and accounting with a strong understanding of budgeting forecasting EOM reporting and data analysis.
* Sound understanding of relevant accounting standards / guidelines and applicable legislation.
* Developed stakeholder management skills and the proven ability to develop maintain and influence business relationships.
