Our tutors operate with their hearts and minds and ensure that all students feel heard and accepted at all stages during the tutoring process.
They are passionate about education and skill development, and work closely with our students and their families in working in their skills and abilities to help children to Break away from what is holding them back.
**Who are we looking for?**
A Self motivated, driven, heart-led individual who is able to join an expanding tutoring team.
- The ability to provide at least 2/3 afternoons of tutoring assistance per week is desirable.
- This position is specifically for in-centre sessions at our Mittagong Tutoring Centre.
- A valid working with children's check, or willingness to obtain one is necessary for this role.
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- An individual who is able to think "outside the box" to gain the best educational outcome for the students they are given to work with.
**Key responsibilities**
- Running assessments for individuals.
- Preparing assessment and tutoring reports for parents.
- Liaising and communicating with parents.
- Understanding of the NSW curriculum.
- Engaging with students, understanding learning needs and developing tutoring plans and sessions based around needs and skill development.
- The ability to use basic online skills is beneficial.

**Experience and qualifications**
Opportunities are available for qualified teachers, retired teachers, as well as individuals studying teaching and other relevant degrees at university.

Breakaway Education is a small tutoring centre based in Mittagong, with in-home throughout the Wollondilly region.
**Job Type**: Casual
Pay: $30.00 - $55.00 per hour

- Mittagong, NSW 2575: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)
**Experience**:
- Teaching: 1 year (preferred)
Licence/Certification:
- Working with Children Check (preferred)
- Driver Licence (preferred)
