Arboriculturist Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Arboriculturist to join our team in maintaining and improving parks, landscaped areas, and recreation spaces within the city's open space regions and road network.
About the Position
* This role involves undertaking arboriculture maintenance and improvements of high-profile foreshore parks, landscaped and recreation areas.
* Operate and maintain plant and equipment including trucks, chippers, elevated work platforms, and general arboriculture equipment.
* Participate in identified training programs to increase skills and knowledge, contributing to the continual improvement of the section.
Please note that climbing is not a requirement of the position – these activities are performed by contractors.
Key Requirements
* Certificate II in Arboriculture (or higher) or a related discipline.
* C Class Drivers Licence Unrestricted (or higher).
* General Construction Induction White Card.
* A high-level of customer service and communication skills, a can-do attitude, and a team player.
* A high level of motivation and adaptability, with the ability to prioritise work and multi-task in a dynamic environment.
* A working knowledge of arboriculture practices with practical experience in tree maintenance and tree removals.
* Sound physical health in order to satisfactorily perform the physically demanding duties of the position.
