Your new role
As a SIL Technician, you will support the integration, verification, and validation of Electronic Architecture (EA) systems within HDA's System Integration Laboratory and prototype vehicles. You will work closely with engineering teams to ensure the technical integrity of systems being delivered to the Australian Defence Force.
Your primary areas of responsibilities
* Conduct hands-on integration and deployment of EA systems in the SIL and onto prototype land platforms.
* Perform light manufacturing, repair, and modification of systems within assigned technical authority.
* Support verification and validation (V&V) activities and gather Objective Quality Evidence (OQE) for certification.
* Assist in the development and execution of test plans, trial instructions, and technical documentation.
* Collaborate with C4I, Electrical, Software, and E3 Systems Engineering teams.
* Provide technical input to supervisors and report on progress, risks, and issues.
* Travel to subcontractor and test locations may be required (domestic and international).
About you
As an ideal candidate you will have:
* Trade certification in Electronics, Electrical, Fitter/Turner, or equivalent industry experience.
* Experience in electrical/electronic integration, RF systems, cabling, soldering, and troubleshooting.
* Prior experience in Defence or working to military standards is highly desirable.
* Strong technical aptitude and attention to detail.
* Ability to work collaboratively and autonomously in a fast-paced environment.
* Commitment to safety and quality in all work practices.
