Overview
Knox Private Hospital is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse with excellent interpersonal skills and a passion for delivering high quality patient care to join our Orthopaedic/ENT/Paediatric team.
Extensive education opportunities and career pathways are available. Night shift, full and part time roles are available. Excellent location close to Eastlink.
Responsibilities
Deliver safe, researched-based standards of nursing care
Provide complex and multi-disciplinary care
Work collaboratively in a multi-disciplinary healthcare team to support patient care needs
Act as a role model for Safe Practice
Deliver education and support to individuals/patients for the management of their health recovery
Essential Criteria
Authority to Work in Australia
Working with Children check (if relevant)
Bachelor of Science (Nursing) or equivalent
Current Registration (no restriction) with AHPRA with a minimum 2 years experience
Demonstrated experience in a surgical environment advantageous
Compliance with ACQSHC National standards
Clinical expertise and commitment to high quality patient care and continuous improvement
Self-motivated and proven ability to work as part of a high functioning team
Highly developed interpersonal skills, proactive, motivated and customer focused
In Charge experience will be very highly regarded (opportunity to step up if desired with training and development provided)
Availability to commit to Night shift

We have a 24/7 Emergency Department, covering a full range of medical and surgical specialty areas, including highly complex surgeries. The hospital features 15 theatres, a hybrid theatre, diagnostic cardiology, two cardiac cath labs and capabilities for cardiothoracic surgery, orthopaedics, neurosurgery, urology and more. All supported by a soon to be expanded coronary care unit and intensive care unit.
