The role:
As a Manager in Training at our Mandurah store, you will work alongside an experienced store leadership team to gain the practical experience and skills needed to prepare you for a leadership position in our retail network and that will allow you to successfully lead your own team of store team members.
This plan is a 2‑week comprehensive program that combines theoretical, practical and hands‑on on‑the‑job training, to ensure you will have the necessary tools to begin a successful management career with City Beach.
What you'll be doing:
Foster a customer‑centric culture by creating a supportive, growth‑focused environment.
Lead the team to meet KPIs and operational goals across Sales, People, Compliance, Visual Merchandising, Wages, and Safety.
Support daily operations, including team coordination, stock control, sales optimisation, and store presentation.
Assist leadership by completing operational tasks and supporting performance management.
Help manage wages to balance profitability, efficiency, and customer experience.
Track sales conversion and customer engagement, contributing ideas to improve results.
Provide clear leadership, feedback, and training to build team capability.
Maintain a safe, compliant, and positive workplace in line with WHS and company policies.
Ensure adherence to policies and employment conditions, escalating issues when needed.
Champion retail projects and initiatives, ensuring the team understands and delivers on key objectives.
What we are looking for:
Experience in a customer‑facing retail, hospitality, or related customer service environment.
Ability to drive sales performance and manage operations to achieve targets and KPIs.
Developing leadership skills with the ability to motivate, coach, and develop a team.
Strong communication and team management skills.
An energetic and enthusiastic approach to store operations.
Willingness and ability to work across different store locations as required.
