Overview:
The Store Person, Vaccine Warehouse Operations, is responsible for delivering efficient and prompt warehouse and distribution services at the SA Health Vaccine Distribution Centre. Maintaining supply chain activity within a cold storage environment.
The key outcomes for this role are:
- Upholding and contributing to the Health, Safety and Welfare of themselves and others working at the SA Health Vaccine Distribution centre
- Efficient and effective handling of vaccine inventory across the receipt, storage, picking, packing and dispatch for the SA Health Vaccine Distribution Centre.
- Effective receiving and dispatch operations that meet industry standards for the storage of vaccines and South Australian Health objectives, including:
- Ensuring accuracy in picking activities and the dispatch and delivery of vaccine orders to service providers.
- Maintenance of high standards of cleanliness and hygiene within the SA Health Vaccine Distribution Centre.
The incumbent:
- Must be prepared to be rotated into the ambient SA Health Distribution Centre as required.
- May be required to work out of business hours including on-call capacity after hours, weekends and public holidays.
- Will be required to conduct work within cold room temperatures.
- Will be required to operate various materials handling equipment such as forklift or reach-truck. The incumbent must hold a current license for this equipment or have the ability to acquire the necessary licenses.
- Must have a current South Australian motor vehicle driver’s license.

SA Health Services are required to implement the Addressing vaccine preventable disease: Occupational assessment, screening and vaccination policy in the workplace.
