Job Title: Safety Superintendent
Job Description:
We are seeking a seasoned Safety Specialist to lead our safety initiatives and drive continuous improvement across departments. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in a senior safety role within the mining industry, with a strong background in occupational health and safety (OHS) legislation.
The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring compliance with management operating procedures (MOPs), coordinating training needs analysis, and maintaining documentation. They will also oversee environmental compliance and workplace inspections, deliver risk assessments and joint safety analyses (JSAs), and lead toolbox talks and safety meetings.
About You:
To be successful in this role, you will need:
* Proven experience in a senior safety role within the mining industry
* Certificate IV in OHS (mandatory); Training & Assessment (beneficial)
* Strong leadership and communication skills
* In-depth knowledge of WHS and Workers' Compensation legislation
* ICAM qualifications highly regarded
