**About the Role**
They are currently seeking multiple professional Customer Service Officers to join their Contact Centre in Parramatta with some flexibility to work remotely from home. This is an estimated 5month temporary assignment, with a solid potential to extend.
Working within a Call Centre environment, you will be responsible for delivering high quality customer service for a range of enquiries and complaints. The role operates as part of a newly created public helpdesk team established to provide high quality information services to customers and key stakeholders of the Department.
In this rewarding role, you will be undertaking the following duties
- Act as first point of contact, delivering professional customer service
- Respond to customer enquiries in a high-volume call centre environment
- Inbox management, distribute to relevant teams, generating correspondence
- Facilitate the resolution of customer complaints
- Triage, lodge and track all enquiries and complaints into the system
- Assist industry participants and the public with information on planning functions within the Department
- Undertake investigations into customer complaints, escalate complex matters to the Team Leader
- Work collaboratively with teams across the Department to ensure information is accurate to guide and educate customers relating to their enquiries
- Develop and implement procedures, reference materials and systems to ensure achievement of Departmental objectives
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and streamlining of processes
- Ensure effective and efficient service delivery relating to confidentiality and privacy
- Participate in meetings, contributing information on emerging trends and issues, mitigating risks
- Records and database management, ensuring high integrity, accuracy and confidentiality
- Ensure compliance with best practice and legislative requirements
**About You**
To be successful in this great assignment you will have the following
- Proven Senior level Contact Centre experience
- Helpdesk / Service Desk experience advantageous
- Demonstrated experience working within a high-volume contact centre environment
- Previous experience working within a sensitive/complex environment
- Professional, resilient and confident with a customer service delivery focus
- Impeccable communication skills, both verbal and written
- Solid analytical, conflict resolution and problem-solving skills
- Takes initiative, with the ability to work unsupervised
- Superior organisational skills with the ability to multi-task and prioritise conflicting deadlines
- High attention to detail
- Strong computer literacy and proficiency with MS Office suite
- Fully COVID vaccinated or medically exempt
- Reliable remote internet access to work remotely from home
- Ability to commence and commit to the duration of the assignment
