Specialist Medical Secretary - Permanent Part-Time
Our team is a locally based practice of professional and passionate individuals working collaboratively to deliver first-class cardiology specialist services.
Due to our ongoing growth, we are currently seeking an outstanding Medical Secretary to join our warm and friendly team in our new Newcastle Rooms.
Experience is preferred, but not essential, as we are dedicated to provide extensive training to the right candidate.

Our Practice

Our team consists of 5 cardiologists, 5 sonographers and 4 administrative staff.
We are passionate about providing outstanding care and empathy to all of our patients, treating them with respect, kindness and compassion and this is reflected from our patients, who often contact us to thank us for supporting them at a crucial time in their life.
We are looking for someone who brings warmth, precision and professionalism to every heartbeat.
The Role
We are seeking a professional medical secretary or someone with admin experience looking to transition to healthcare.
This role is permanent part-time, working 4 days/week, Days of work will be Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday 8.00am - 5.00pm, giving you a long weekend each week
It is imperative that you be available to cover sick and annual leave when required.

What does a regular working week look like in our rooms
Support our cardiologists and sonographers with day-to-day administrative excellence.
Manage appointments, patient records and clinical correspondence with care and accuracy.
Serve as the welcoming voice and smiling face of our business, providing exceptional service to patients and families.
Assist in keeping our operations running smoothly so our doctors can focus on what matters most - patient care.
Scheduling and effective management of patient bookings in Genie software
Processing patient invoicing and receipting of consultations
Completion of end of day reconciliations.
Processing incoming and outgoing correspondence via medical Objects.
Scheduling patient hospital admissions and liaising with Private Hospitals to this effect.
Preparation of clinic lists
Assist the practice manager with ad hoc administration duties as required.
